Tech Note 020: Remove OPI using Acrobat Professional PDF Print E-mail

Removing OPI from a PDF can be accomplished within Acrobat Professional, follow the steps below.

1. Open the PDF

2. Resave the file as PostScript: Go to File / Save As... Choose PostScript and click on Settings to bring up the following screens.

3. Change settings to match the screen shots below:

4. Name the file, choose a location, click SAVE.

5. Open Acrobat Distiller and re-distill the new postscript file to the PDF/x1a:2001 standard.

The resulting PDF will now have OPI removed.
