Our quality/production management system (ISO 9000) requires tracking of all waste streams, particularly printing plate waste. When a plate travels through prepress to the press, there are a myriad of reasons why it may need to be scrapped. As the graph below clearly illustrates, the process controls at Cummings Printing significantly limit plate makeovers and allow Cummings Printing to exceed the industry average.
